Thanks for using my idea!
So one of my favorite surf-related charity is Life Rolls On that was founded by surfer Jesse Billauer. They are focused on improving the quality of life for young people that have been affected by spinal cord injuries. They have events in the summer called “They Will Surf Again” and get people back in the waves that have been injured.
SurfRider Foundation & Pick up 3 because they both promote environmental awareness and pollution prevention. I hate surfing in sewage!
My Favorite would have to be SurfAid, created to help prevent malaria and other such diseases from killing people in Indonesian villages.I think it is an awesome charity because it allows us to donate our resources, while they share there resources…awesome waves!!!
My fav is Surfrider Foundation. They focus on all aspects of the ocean and the environment. They have been going strong for 25 years and have reached all over the world. I am a member and my wife and I volunteer our time when we can.
One of my favorite surf-related charity is SurfAid, founded by Dr. David Jenkins, who later went to to Found SurfAid International. Located in Mentawai Islands, Indonesia there primary focus is to control the spread of malaria in the community. Also promoting health and social programs throughout the community.
I love SurfAid. I have a friend from Indonesia and he raved about how important thier work is for the poor communities and children. It’s also a nice tax write-off for the pharm companies that donate the meds…and my wife happens to work for one of them.
My favorite charity is
The Surfrider Foundation. It’s a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches.

Surfrider, beach cleanup efforts, water conservation it’s all good…
Surfrider foundation. I love the environment and supporting a foundation that also does.
Okay, here is another fave. The Rob Machado Foundation. Founded in 2005, provides money and education to promote the earth’s health.
Surf Aid for sure, but then again, there arent too many out there that are just fur surfers and beaches….
My favorite is without any question Surf For the Cause started by a very close friend of mine, and local (New England) surf legend, Will Kinnane.Surf for the Cause is a group committed to joyfully serving the poor in third-world coastal communities where surfers in particular are drawn because of the waves. Our focus is on devoting our energy and time as surfers to alleviate suffering, bring emotional uplift, restore joy, encourage and exemplify goodwill and love, all while traveling the world in search of the perfect wave.
We just returned from an epic trip to Nicaragua where we sponsored the construction of a home for a family of nine in addition to packing up several school buses with impoverished inner city children and bringing them to the beach for the first time in their lives.
Here is a link to our facebook and our web site (still in construction).
